Montezuma Land Conservancy's mission is generously supported by membership dues, individual giving, grants, and special events. Tax-deductible gifts allow Montezuma Land Conservancy staff to work directly with local landowners to protect their lands from development.

Please join today and help make a lasting difference in the future of our special landscape.  With Montezuma and Dolores Counties projected to grow to by 75 percent (from 25,707 to 44,914 people) by 2035, the agricultural land, wildlife habitat, and rural character that make this area such a special place to live are increasingly threatened by development.

Your investment in Montezuma Land Conservancy is leveraged many times over—in 2006 for every $1 our members contributed, MLC protected $119 worth of land. Your contributions also help us obtain grants from private, state and federal organizations.

With your tax deductible membership dues, you will receive our biannual newsletter, invitations to events, and be eligible for special drawings at events.  None of our donor databases will ever be sold, traded or exchanged in any way.

Gifts of Stock:
 A gift of appreciated stock provides you with the additional benefit of making a contribution to MLC and avoiding capital gains taxes on appreciated assets.   These assets can be transferred directly to Montezuma Land Conservancy from you brokerage accounts.

City Market Cares Program Donates $400/year to MLC—Help Make that More

You can raise money for Montezuma Land Conservancy every time you shop at City Market or King Soopers.  City Market supports selected charitable organizations whose members sign up with their Value Card. 0.4% of your purchases will go directly to MLC when you shop.

City Market has donated about $400/year to MLC since 2004. If you’re not sure whether your Value Card is linked to MLC, if you would like to change the organization your Value Card is linked to (it can only be linked to one), or if you would like to sign up, please e-mail or call MLC with your name, address, phone number, and Value Card Number (10 of the 12 digits on the back of your card; the first and last digits don’t count).
